Matthew Higby

Born into a bellringing family, Matthew cannot remember a time when he couldn't ring! With help from his father, who was a clock maker by trade, Matthew started hanging small bells as a child. He built his first mini ring in the early 1990's. Having assisted with various bell restoration projects and resurrected several silent towers in north/east Somerset, Matthew studied engineering and started bellhanging as a sole trader in 1996. The rest is history! Matthew is in charge of tower inspections, sales and the general day to day running of the company. Matthew spends a lot of his spare time ringing, including running a local 12-bell practice. He also enjoys caravanning with his family, walking, local history and collecting old bell-related books.
